2019 – 2021 Activity Report

TURKISH TRADITIONAL ARCHERY FEDERATION ACTIVITY REPORT
12 May 2019 – 30 September 2021

The first General Assembly of our Federation was held on 12 May 2019 and started to work with the authority it received from the delegates. Afterwards, the establishment and organization of the boards started quickly. Due to the fact that we are a newly established federation, necessary instructions and arrangements have been made in line with the aim of organizing our heritage from the past in a sporting sense and ensuring that people who set their heart on this sport can compete. We started to bear the fruits of our efforts within this scope very quickly, and we reached a total of 7,234 licensed athletes, including 496 registered clubs, 4,370 men and 2,864 women in a short time.

Trainer courses have started to be opened, which are the primary conditions for our children and youth to receive education. Afterwards, 9 First Level Assistant Trainer Training courses were opened in Istanbul, Bursa, Mersin and Ankara provinces and 445 people who were successful by attending these courses were entitled to receive the First Level Trainer Certificate.

Necessary referee training studies were carried out in order to carry out sports activities and to make them in the official competition format. Three Candidate Referee Training Courses were organized by the Central Referee Committee and 234 of our referees who successfully completed the course started to take part in the competitions.

We have organized 14 big national competitions in the short time since our establishment despite the pandemic conditions. The coordination of provincial activities in many provinces has been ensured with the support of our Federation and Provincial Representatives apart from the competitions included in the annual activities of our Federation. Many online training programs were also carried out in order to stay in touch with our community and interact with each other during this period.

Cooperation with public institutions and organizations has been carried out in order to adopt traditional archery as a cultural heritage, to endear it to today’s and future generations, and to train & support athletes.
