Following the cooperation and negotiations with the Sports Activities Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Traditional Turkish Archery branch took its place in the School Sports Activities of the 2019-2020 Academic Year.
Our Federation, which started its activities with the election of the General Assembly held in May 2019 and formed the Boards in August, realized this important development in a short time. We would like to congratulate our School Studies Board for this beautiful development.
What is School Sports?
The School Sports Branch, which operates under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, aims to ensure the dissemination, dissemination and direction of sports activities in Primary and Secondary Education Institutions. In line with these objectives, it organizes official sports competitions in coordination with the Ministry of National Education and ensures the preparation of the necessary infrastructure and physical environment.
At the end of the competitions held in the country, the athletes and schools that have been awarded can participate in the International Competitions organized by the International School Sports Federation (ISF) program.
With the participation of Traditional Archery in the school sports activity program, students from primary and secondary schools will be able to participate in individual and team competitions. We will give great opportunity to our young people to transfer our traditional sport and culture to future generations, and we will convey details such as place and history about this development as it becomes clear.
