Turkish Traditional Archery Federation’s duties and authorisations are described in the main status.
The duties of our Federation are as follows:
- To ensure that the branch of sports is spread and developed at the country level, to make all kinds of arrangements, to produce projects, to take decisions and to implement them,
- Provide the specific international rules of Sports and the implementation of legislation and represent Turkey abroad on issues related to the archery,
- To follow the developments related to the sports branch in Turkey and abroad,
- To program and control the activities related to the international sports branch and other domestic activities, domestic and abroad,
- To train and train coaches, referees and other sports personnel in cooperation with the General Directorate and international federations in accordance with the training criteria determined, to prepare and register the documents of successful ones and to monitor their works continuously,
- Organizing competitions within the country, ensuring the continuity of all competitions organized in the country, appointing referees, representatives and observers,
- To follow the developments and innovations related to sports in foreign countries and to ensure that more people benefit from this information within the country,
- Determining the standards of the sports materials according to the international rules, and trying to get them made or supplied at home or abroad,
- Resolving technical disputes that may arise between clubs, sports provincial directorates and provincial representatives,
- To organize international courses, seminars, panels, symposiums and sports organizations,
- To give permission to the requesting persons and organizations following the necessary conditions regarding the special competitions, special seminars and courses to be held,
- To carry out activities aimed at the purpose of the Federation and to establish an economic enterprise in order to provide resources to the sports branch,
- To select the national team athletes who will participate in international competitions and technical staff such as manager, coach, assistant coach, masseur, doctor and statistician, to ensure that the selected teams prepare and participate in the competitions,
- To prepare, publish and implement instructions for the organization of the competitions related to the sport;
- To follow up the successful athletes, to take necessary measures for the training of these athletes and to reward them,
- Opening training and preparatory camps for athletes of all levels,
- To carry out archives and statistical studies related to the sports branch, to prepare educational films, slides and brochures and to cooperate with the press and television organizations on this subject,
- To ensure that provincial representatives work among themselves and in coordination with the Federation,
- To take the necessary measures on the issues related to the health of the athlete,
- To implement the decisions of the Arbitration Board,
- To register the sports branch of sports clubs and to perform registration and visa procedures of athletes, coaches and referees,
- To cooperate with public institutions and local administrations,
- To submit to the Minister the commitment including the annual and four-year master’s and strategic plan and performance program of the Federation,
- To prepare infrastructure and talent determination projects, to establish the infrastructure of these and ensure their implementation.
